Stefano Forte - Parton Distributions for the 21st century
RTG Seminar on Wednesday, January 10th, 2018
I discuss the needs, issues, and challenges in the determination of
parton distributions (PDFs) in view of current and future experiments
at the LHC and beyond. I review the current state of the art and
recent progress. I then expose the main outstanding issues in data
selection, methodology, and theoretical treatment. I present ideas for
future progress, in view of discovery physics at the high-luminosity LHC.
