Kirill Melnikov - NNLO QCD computations for the LHC
RTG Seminar talk on June 8th, 2016
In the past two years, a remarkable progress occurred with next-to-next-to-leading  order (NNLO)  QCD computations for hadron collider observables.
Large number of important processes with up to two  particles in the final state, such as top pair , electroweak boson pair , Higgs and jet,  vector boson and jet, as well as di-jet production were calculated to NNLO in perturbative QCD.   I will discuss  technical developments that made this progress  possible and  describe
phenomenological implications of these computations. I will also discuss important challenges for extending NNLO QCD computations to higher multiplicity LHC processes.
