Karsten Köneke - The Higgs boson - a precision endeavor
RTG seminar on December 16th, 2020
The Higgs boson sits at the heart of the Standard Model of particle physics. Its uniqueness provides a great opportunity for exploring the thus far unknown. Since its discovery by the ATLAS and CMS Collaborations in 2012, using early data recorded in proton-proton collisions provided by the Large Hadron Collider, the number of produced Higgs bosons has increased by more than a factor of 30. This paves the way for an endeavor of precision measurements. I will explain in this seminar the newest measurements extracted from this data and discuss what we have learned from these.
