Rodejohann, Werner - Neutrinos mass and Lepton Mixing
Seminarvortrag im Rahmen des GRK 2044 am Mittwoch, 24.06.2015
Neutrino oscillation is the only physics beyond the Standard Model that can be tested in the lab. New parameters and theoretical concepts are implied by its presence. The current status of the neutrino parameters is reviewed. The main mechanisms to generate neutrino mass are discussed. Essentially all of them have in common that neutrinos are Majorana particles, and neutrinoless double beta decay is the only way to test this experimentally. Finally, alternative mechanisms for double beta decay at the TeV scale are mentioned.
